According to Monte Carlo News: It has long been thought that the secretion of ovarian function, especially estrogen, plays a major role in the etiology of breast cancer. However, patients with breast cancer did not show compelling differences in blood and urine levels of estrogen compared with healthy subjects. Now researchers in the United Kingdom, together with research groups in Japan and the United States, have not only found objective evidence of the relationship between estrogen and breast cancer, but also show that the relationship between the two has been difficult to understand. John W Moore, head of the Department of Clinical Endocrinology at the London Imperial Oncology Research Foundation, told the 2nd International Hormone and Oncology Committee that estradiol (a major estrogen) is potentially effective in stimulating target tissues (such as breasts) in vivo. The amount of estradiol in the blood of 64 healthy women in the UK was 51
