Single crystal of potassium titanyl phosphate(KTP)has been shown to bethe most useful nonlinear optical material recently.Its large nonlinear opti-cal coefficient and a high optical damage threshold(500MW/cm~2)make it par-ticularly attractive for frequency doubling and parameteric device.
