Emily Bronte, a British 19th-century writer, revealed in Wuthering Heights an astonishing similarity between the idea of freedom in the times and the idea of Jean Paul Satarte in the twentieth century that people fundamentally It is free, and human freedom is born and destined. Sartre held that man’s freedom is continual choice, and that this choice takes place in five specific situations. The novelist thought embodied in Wuthering Heights can be explained exactly by the freedom in Sartre’s situation. Therefore, the novel reflects the advance of Emily’s thought.
