生物与环境的统一,表现为生物与周围环境的相互关系。生物之间呈现食物链,互相制约与依存;生物与无机环境的关系,亦相当密切的。浮游植物是海域的初级生产者,在生物食物链中占特别重要的地位。自养生物与无机环境的关系,比异养生物更为复杂;无机环境有的为其生长条件,有的则是营养物质。作者曾用统计学方法,讨论过渤海个别年份自养生物与无机环境的关系。结果指出,该水域的盐度、硅酸盐及酸碱度,是浮游植物较好的环境因子;水温及磷酸盐是其主要控制及影响要素。无机环境决定着海洋初级生产力,
The unity of biology and environment, manifested as the relationship between living creatures and the surrounding environment.
