在无线局域网(WLAN)领域,一种新的体系结构或解决方案,即集中式智能与控制初见端倪。在这种新的体系结构中,WLAN系统装置,如无线交换机、无线设备、路由器等,用在许多不同的轻量接入点(AP)之间生成并执行管理策略。通过在这些装置中对安全性、机动性、服务质量(QoS)等基本功能实施集中式智能控制,能够在整个企业无线网络上有效管理保证WLAN运行。而且,将管理功能从AP转移到集中式智能控制,网络管理人员能够使大型无线网络的管理变得简单易行,性能更加可靠,并增强安全性。
In the area of wireless local area networks (WLANs), a new architecture or solution, centralized intelligence and control, is starting to emerge. In this new architecture, WLAN system devices, such as wireless switches, wireless devices, routers, etc., are used to generate and enforce management policies across many different lightweight access points (APs). By implementing centralized, intelligent control of basic functions such as security, mobility and quality of service (QoS) in these devices, WLAN operations can be effectively managed and managed throughout the enterprise wireless network. And, moving management capabilities away from APs to centralized intelligence allows network managers to make the management of large wireless networks easier, more reliable, and more secure.
