尿素用作肥料有很大的优点:含氮量高,物理性状好。它是一种很好的氮肥,既可作根外追肥,又可施入土中。为了对尿素与其他氮肥进行比较研究,曾经采用过各种研究方法,其中有:1)田间试验,用以研究尿素作根外迫肥和施入土中时的效果;2)盆栽试验,用以研究尿素与土壤混合和作根外追肥的效果;3)室内实验,用以研究(1)尿素对作物的生理作用(作物对尿素的吸收,尿素对作物体内碳、氮代谢的影响,尿素对作物可能产生的毒害作用的原因和条件),(2)尿素在土壤中的转化及其氮素损失的可能性。
