英语课程标准对语言技能中的听、说、读、写都提出了不同的要求。对于读,课标要求学生们能够借助图片读懂简单的故事或短文,并养成按意群阅读的习惯;能正确朗读所学的故事或短文。听和读是理解的技能,说和写是表达的技能。但是在小学阶段,多数教师都偏重于培养学生的听、说能力,而对学生的阅读能力则没有足够地重视,以至于学生很难达到课程标准上的要求。那么,我们要怎样做才能让学生们的阅读能力有所提升呢?
English curriculum standards put different requirements on listening, speaking, reading and writing in language skills. For reading, the standard requires students to use pictures to read simple stories or essays, and to develop the habit of reading according to group; the correct reading of the story or essay. Listening and reading are understood skills, speaking and writing are expressions of skill. However, in the primary school stage, most teachers emphasize their ability of listening and speaking while not paying sufficient attention to their reading ability so that they can hardly meet the standard of curriculum. So, what can we do to improve students’ reading ability?
