Irregular interface covered with a constant velocity V_T substance. The data of multiple cover reflections were collected, and the reflection of the reflections was obtained by using the first post-stack offset correction method. Three velocity functions are encountered in this process: the measured superposition velocity V_ (NMO); the true capping velocity V_T; and the profile offset velocity V_M, which are required by the current two-dimensional displacement procedure. The method of determining V_ (NMO) and then determining V_T is well understood. On the other hand, the offset speed has not been discussed before. V_M depends not only on the true section velocity but also on a certain geometric factor that associates the section with the structure.
