英语阅读理解能力的高低与EFL学习者的英语基础、词汇量、阅读习惯以及阅读技能等众多因素密切相关。由于非英语专业EFL学习者的个体差异非常大,因而在阅读学习中实行元认知策略有利于他们根据个体的现状制定学习计划与目标。元认知策略要求EFL学习者具备较强的自律性,不能完全依赖老师的指导与监督。元认知策略有助于EFL学习者根据阅读学习体验找到适合自己的阅读学习方法。
The level of English reading comprehension is closely related to many EFL learners’ basic English, vocabulary, reading habits and reading skills. Because EFL learners of non-English majors have very different individual differences, implementing metacognitive strategies in reading learning helps them develop learning plans and goals based on the individual’s current situation. Metacognitive strategies require EFL learners to have strong self-discipline and can not rely solely on the instructor’s guidance and supervision. Metacognitive strategies help EFL learners find their own way of reading learning based on their reading experience.
