Introduction The purpose of ramming the loess class soil is to eliminate the large hole structure and collapse properties within the range of 1.5 to 2 meters in the upper part of the soil layer, thereby reducing the total amount of collapse of the foundation soil of houses and structures when accidentally flooded. At the same time, the assumed collapse value of the soil layer after tamping will be reduced when immersed in water, so that the collapsibility grade can be reduced. When the thickness of the collapsible soil below the basement is not more than 3 meters, according to the requirements of 137-56, the construction measures are limited to the surface compaction, and the design of the natural foundation is still performed like a general non-collapsed soil.
