人渴望定居可以说是与生俱来;同时,人总还是向往、甚至追求游牧生活般的自由。建筑作为令人安居的根本手段应是不争的事实,于是从本质而言建筑应是一门“保守”艺术。不过这并不意味着在建筑中完全没有幻想“浮生”的空间。在人类历史的长河中建筑其实一直被用来摆平安居与浮生的矛盾。本文将建筑中“水平”与“垂直”的几何秩序与这对矛盾并联,以便借助合院、房间矩阵与走廊房间几种模式对中西住宅的文化史作一番审视。
People desire to settle can be said to be inherent; the same time, people always aspire to, and even the pursuit of nomadic life-like freedom. Architecture as an essential means of living should be an indisputable fact, so by its nature architecture should be a “conservative” art. However, this does not mean there is absolutely no room for fantasies in the building. In the long history of human history, architecture has always been used to settle the contradiction between housing and living. In this paper, the geometric order of “horizontal” and “vertical” in the building is parallelized with the contradictions so as to make a survey of the cultural history of Chinese and Western dwellings with the help of courtyard, room matrix and corridor rooms.
