1995年11月16日京九铁路全线铺通。京九铁路是我国铁路建设史上规模最大、投资最多、一次建成里程最长的铁路干线。它北起北京西客站,经霸州、衡水、聊城、菏泽、商丘、阜阳、麻城、九江、南昌、向塘、吉安、赣州、龙川、常平,南至深圳,与香港九龙相连。京九铁路干线全长2381km,包括天津至霸州、麻城至武汉两条联络线共长2536km。京九铁路完成土石方2.6亿m~3,架设桥梁总长207km,开凿隧道总长56km。京九铁路采用46项重大新技术,在勘测设计中广泛应用航测遥感、综合勘探和电子计算机技术;在隧道施工
November 16, 1995 Beijing-Kowloon Railway across the board. The Beijing-Kowloon Railway is the largest and most-invested railroad in the history of railway construction in our country. It runs north from Beijing West Railway Station and connects with Hong Kong Kowloon via Bazhou, Hengshui, Liaocheng, Heze, Shangqiu, Fuyang, Macheng, Jiujiang, Nanchang, Xiangtang, Ji’an, Ganzhou, Longchuan, Changping and South to Shenzhen. The total length of the Beijing-Kowloon Railway is 2381km, including 2536km from Tianjin to Bazhou and from Macheng to Wuhan. Beijing-Kowloon Railway completed earthwork of 260 million m 3, erected a total length of 207 km of bridges, dug tunnel total length of 56 km.
