红色粘土在内蒙东部地区分布较广。这种土具有稳固的团粒结构,抗水能力强,透水性小,液、塑性限度和粘粒含量都较高,浸水后也不易崩解。由于这些特性的存在,它已被广泛用于水工建筑物中。但由于其粘粒含量及天然含水量都较高,在冻结期往往发生冻胀,这为建筑物的安全带来危害。为了有效的利用这种土质,我们曾对赤峰市宁城县红色粘土就冻结期水、土、温三者之间的相互关系作了数理统计分析,并得出了求总冻胀量简易经验公式。试验采用最不利条件,即对非饱和土和
Red clay is widely distributed in eastern Inner Mongolia. This soil has a solid aggregate structure, strong resistance to water, water permeability, liquid, plastic limit and clay content are high, not easy to disintegrate after soaking. Due to these characteristics, it has been widely used in hydraulic structures.
