抗战期中,国民党元老吴稚晖来到成都,四川省党政要员在“姑姑筵”设宴款待他,却同了一次大笑话。 “姑姑筵”是当时成都极负盛名的餐厅。传说老板黄敬临曾任“御厨”,享有“光禄寺大夫”(相当民间炊事班长)的官衔;他告老从京城回乡后,应许多慕名“美食家”的敦促,在他陕西街的住宅开设了这个馆子。餐馆非常特殊,对外不挂牌,却广揽营业,其实这里只有几间家庭小院“餐室”,曲径通幽,树木苍翠,花卉吐香,静穆雅致,称得上别有“洞天”。它定了几条不成文法的规矩:一不允许拈花狎妓;二不允许划拳喧哗;三则需提前数日预订席桌。因之,食客多显贵官员、名流雅士,类如“安乐寺”的俗贾商贩却很少问津。
