重庆某厂1号车间是由模锻、自由锻和热处理三个主要工号组成。而16吨模锻锤是该厂锻锤群中最大的一台关键设备,在国内还不多见。这台设备体积庞大,从地面算起高达9米,设备自重为422吨。在锻锤工作时,冲击振动荷载相当于一万二千吨水压机的静载负荷,而且该锻锤基础直接座落在砂岩层上,与相邻柱基净距只有5米,厂房附近又有对振动反应较敏感的铸工车间的泥芯
