For thousands of years, mankind has been constantly asking the question: what will happen after we die? The ancient Egyptians think they have found the answer - after being made into mummies, they have to embark on a long journey of crisis and eventually reach the eternal paradise . But to get there, they need a guide written with a spell, which is Egypt’s Book of the Dead (or Book of the Dead, Book of the Dead). The British Museum, home to a large collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, is hosting an exhibition titled Journey Through the Afterlife: Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, which runs from November 4, 2010 to 2011 On March 6, interested students can visit the museum’s website (www.britishmuseum.org) to learn about the contents of this exhibition.
