夏照帆教授为人和蔼,对学生关怀备至,但谈到学术则是一丝不苟、严谨敏锐。夏教授很早就指出严重烧伤救治需从两方面着手:一是提高治愈率;二是降低残疾率。而这两方面对应的临床问题都是世界性难题,如创面修复的皮源问题、脓毒症患者的高病死率等。夏教授在美国期间的主要研究精力集中在休克与器官损伤修复,回国后继续加强了这方面研究,并敏锐地注意到新兴学科———组织工程的出现。 Professor Xia Zhaofan kindness, caring for students, but talked about academics is meticulous, rigorous and keen. Professor Xia pointed out long ago that severe burn treatment needs two aspects: one is to improve the cure rate; the other is to reduce the disability rate. And these two aspects of the corresponding clinical problems are worldwide problems, such as the skin repair wound problems, sepsis patients with high mortality. Professor Xia’s main research interests in the United States focused on the repair of shock and organ damage. After returning home, Professor Xiang continued to strengthen this research and was keenly aware of the emerging science --- the emergence of tissue engineering.
