2002年10月12-17日,第四届中国国际高新技术成果交易会（高交会）在深圳市隆重举行。 中共中央政治局委员、广东省委书记李长春出席开幕式,全国人大常委会副委员长周光召致开幕词,中共中央政治局候补委员、国务委员吴仪发来贺信。 周光召在致词中说,中国的科技发展离不开世界,世界的科技进步也需要中国。中国已经加人世界贸易组织,正以全方位开放的积极姿态,积极融入全球化浪潮之中。作为国际高科技领域的一支重要力量,中国将以其丰富的科技和知识资源,更加广泛和深入地开展国际高新技术领域的交流与合作,努力为世界科技发展和人类进步事业作出更大贡献。
