The thinking of coordinating the development of vocational education at the senior middle school in Beijing must be based on the reality and development plan of the capital. The capital’s economic and social development needs and the actual development of education in Beijing are the basis for our discussion of the issue. The capital status of Beijing and the advantages of several “centers” determine the leading position and radiation effect of education in the whole country and determine Beijing’s various types of education at all levels and their mutual relations.
