目前PDLC器件的制作方法有多种,但器件在显示时其电压-透过率特性通常存在明显的迟滞效应,不利于灰度显示。采用在PDLC基板内表面涂覆液晶取向层,使取向层沿非平行方向摩擦的方法可使迟滞效应得到显著改善。
Currently there are many ways to fabricate PDLC devices. However, the voltage-transmissivity characteristics of the device usually show obvious hysteresis when displaying, which is not good for the gray scale display. The hysteresis effect can be significantly improved by applying a liquid crystal alignment layer on the inner surface of the PDLC substrate and rubbing the alignment layer in a non-parallel direction.
