转弯外倾转弯外倾也称为转向半径。当汽车转弯时,前轮外侧车轮转向角小于内侧车轮,这使得两前轮在转弯时车轮有后束的倾向(如图5所示)。一定的转向外倾是必要的,因为外侧车轮必须比内侧车轮转弯半径大。如果两侧车轮转向角度相等,外侧轮胎以小半径转弯时,将会产生拖滑。设计转向几何参数时应考虑转向外倾,而且左右外倾的参数必须相等。转向外倾不可调节,转向外倾角左右不等或者不符合规范都是由于车辆被损坏造成的。
Turn camber Turn camber is also called turning radius. When the car turns, the outside wheel steering angle of the front wheels is smaller than the inside wheels, which makes the front wheels tend to have a rearward beam when turning (as shown in FIG. 5). A certain amount of steering camber is necessary because the outer wheel must have a larger turning radius than the inner wheel. If the wheels on both sides have the same turning angle, dragging will occur when the outer tire turns with a small radius. Design steering geometry parameters should be considered when turning camber, and camber parameters must be equal. Turn can not be adjusted to the camber, camber change around or do not meet the norms are due to damage caused by the vehicle.
