对龙泉市林科所杉木第1代种子园盛果前期资料的统计分析表明,嫁接后第3—4年开始投产,第8~9年开始进入盛果期,产量一般稳定在75~120kg/hm2;各无性系间平均单株产量差异板显著,而且重复率达到57.96%~70.61%;同一无性系直冠形接株平均单株产量极显著高于盘冠形接株,差距达到3.5倍左右,并且随着树龄增加而扩大,而种子发芽率前者极显著高于后者,涩粒率前者低于后者。因此,选择遗传性优良的高产无性系为建园材料,培养直冠形接株,是种子园达到高产、稳产和优质的关键。
