X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum, inclusion-free extraction and other means were used to study and trace the characteristics and sources of large-size and high-SiO2 inclusions in IF steel slabs. The results show that a large number of large particles Solid inclusions, of which high SiO2 inclusions accounted for about 60% of the total, larger size, generally> 50μm, irregular shape; the main source of high-SiO2 inclusions in the slab is not pre-melting mold powder, slag There are many phases in the interior of the particles, some of which are not completely dissolved in the casting process and are entrapped into the steel and captured by the shell, finally forming inclusions in the slab. Slag pre-melting properties, to a large extent can reduce the high-SiO2 solid phase large particles inclusions caused by slab quality defects.
