现行课程改革在教育观念、课程结构、课程评价、课程管理等仍有亟待改进的方面。从国际教育大背景与我国的课程实际来看,我国未来的基础教育课程政策将更加关注以下几个方面:一是政策理念以学生的发展为本;二是课程决策走向均衡化;三是政策制定走向科学化;四是政策制定走向本土化。
