今天的高性能ASIC和微处理器芯片消耗的功率可超过150瓦。对于1V~1.5V的供电电压,这些器件所需要的电流可轻易超过100A。通过采用多相直流/直流转换器,为此类器件供电的任务可变得更容易处理。目前,可扩展控制器允许设计人员为特定的直流/直流转换器选择所需要的相数。可扩展性 Today’s high-performance ASIC and microprocessor chips consume more than 150 watts of power.
