风机有离心式和轴流式两种。前者流量小,压力高,平均效率低,一般只适用于压力系数P=0.40以上的负荷变动不大的场合;后者正好相反,其流量大,压力低,平均效率比较高,适用于0.15~0.30左右的低压力系数范围内。华中工学院发明的“后置导叶翼型斜流式风机兼有轴流式的大流量和离心式高压力的优点,在比转数相同情况下,与现有离心式和轴流式风机相比,具有明显的高效率和低噪声特性。
