At present, China’s brick-concrete residential buildings still account for more than 90% of residential buildings, and some provinces and cities account for more than 98%. According to the “7th Five-Year Plan” of the Ministry of Construction, urban brick-concrete residential buildings still account for 54.4% and rural brick and concrete accounts for 31%, with a total annual average of 360 million m2. This shows that brick-concrete dwellings will not only be eliminated, but will exist and develop for a long time and become the main structural form of residential buildings in China. In 1986, we conducted investigations on 56 provincial and county-level construction companies according to the “Study on the Construction of Urban Multi-storey Brick-Mixed Residential Systems” issued by the Construction Management Bureau and the Science and Technology Bureau of the Ministry of Construction. The main conditions are: 1. The 37 provincial and county-level construction companies surveyed undertook the task of building a brick-concrete residence in 1985. Among them, the provincial-level companies used 28% of the total building area for the construction of masonry-mixed houses, and the county-level construction companies accounted for 1. 41.2%, which indicates
