通过层序地层学的划分与对比 ,将侏罗系划分出 8个沉积层序 ,层序界面以I型层序界面为主。沉积相类型主要为曲流河、辫状河、辫状三角洲、湖泊、沼泽化湖泊等 5种。自晚三叠世塔里奇克期至白垩纪末 ,早三叠世形成的南天山褶皱隆起带开始遭受剥蚀 ,盆地基底反弹 ,盆地格局表现为宽缓、伸展的特点 ,沉积模式表现为潮湿气候下的冲积补偿和干旱气候下的冲积补偿 2种方式
