英国《泰晤士报》网站6月1日报道:新一代强效驱蚊剂有望在控制疟疾的斗争中开辟一条新战线,因为科学家发现的一种方法能够干扰蚊虫测出人所处位置的能力。美国科学家发现,有3种化学品能够干扰蚊子感觉到人们呼出的二氧化碳的能力。人们呼出的二氧化碳正是蚊虫用来发现叮咬目标的信号。
The British “Times” website reported on June 1st: A new generation of powerful insect repellents is expected to open a new battle in the fight against malaria, because scientists have discovered a method that can interfere with mosquitoes’ ability to detect where people are located. American scientists have discovered that there are three chemicals that can interfere with the ability of mosquitoes to sense the carbon dioxide that people exhale. The carbon dioxide that people exhale is the signal that mosquitoes use to find their target.
