随着社会的发展,英语在中国已经得到普及。社会对人才的需求已经不再满足于单纯的语言知识或单纯的专业知识。综合型人才越来越受到社会的青睐。基于此,各级各类院校都开展了专门用途英语(ESP)教学,目的就是培养社会所需要的既懂专业知识又懂一定英语知识的综合型人才。结合目前高职非英语专业ESP的教学现状和毕业生就业现状分析,发现目前的高职ESP教学远远没有达到预期的目标。本文以需求分析理论为基础,旨在探索高职ESP现状所产生的原因,并提出相应的解决问题的办法。
With the development of society, English has gained popularity in China. Social demand for talent is no longer satisfied with simple language knowledge or purely professional knowledge. Comprehensive talent more and more by the community of all ages. Based on this, various types of colleges and universities at all levels have launched ESP teaching, the purpose is to train the community needs all know both professional knowledge and knowledge of a certain amount of English comprehensive talent. Combined with the present teaching status of non-English major ESP in vocational colleges and the status quo of graduates’ employment, it is found that the current ESP teaching in higher vocational colleges is far from achieving the expected goal. Based on the theory of demand analysis, this paper aims to explore the causes of ESP status quo in higher vocational colleges and put forward corresponding solutions to the problems.
