A large part of urban land is traffic and commuter road land. The street was originally developed as a venue for public events. With the introduction of new standards for road planning, this historical role of the street has been given renewed attention. Designboom's 100 Gobbe Street, designed by the US, is an excellent example of how Houston can transform the mere commuting of a street into a place of public entertainment and leisure. In China's rapid urbanization, the amount of land it uses for roads increases by about 5% annually. The example of Baobbe Street will be a useful reference for the design of China's road system.
