在刚开始学游泳时,人们大都有一种恐惧、害怕的心理。分析其原因,主要是对水的基本特性不了解。游泳是身体脱离了固定的固体支撑而由液体支撑,借助手、腿和躯干动作来进行运动的一个项目。由于水的阻力比陆上空气阻力大得多,而且游泳运动的技术动作与日常一些习惯动作相比较,在动作结构上和动作节奏上有许多不同,因此,初学者第一次下水时,会感到两臂悬浮、双手抓不着东西、两腿蹬空,好象整个身体失去了控制,从而引起心理上的恐惧。
