The Tianta Neighborhood Community Center in North China's Tianjin Municipality has created new activities—Neighbor Festival as part of the efforts to rally the people living in the community and build a harmonious neighborhood. Since 1999, the festival has become an annual event. Activities include lectures, forums, theatrical performances, fun sports, talent shows, poverty relief and mutual aid. All the activities are centered round one theme: good neighbors, unity and mutual aid, said Xian Shuwen, head of the Tianta Neighborhood Community Office.
