改革开放初期的中国依然很贫穷,所以在打开国门后,人们面对国外的“花花世界”时受到的心里冲击是可以想象的。很多人都被外面世界的繁华震撼了,并彻底拜倒在地,丧失了追赶的勇气。于是乎,我们小的时候,耳濡目染的都是各种关于外国天堂般美好的事例。比如日本小学生在夏令营中表现十分厉害,一个日本孩子完胜十个中国孩子,比如日本政府如何聪明地购买中国的资源而沉在近海以备后用,而中国政府却毫无知觉。再比如美国人的月收入能过万,水龙头能出热水,连电视都是彩色的。再再比如欧洲人的城市里全是楼房,每家每户都有抽水马桶,连私人都买得起小轿车……
