The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of nitric oxide (NO) provided by sodium nitroprusside (SNP) on platelet function and regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) in acute ischemic stroke patients. Methods SNP was given to 22 patients with acute ischemic attack confirmed by skull CT in a dose of 10mmHg (75mmHg = 1kPa), which could cause the decrease of mean arterial pressure (MABP).
