This paper discusses the hot-air stratification in common rooms and uses numerical simulation methods to study this problem.It uses two softwares of CTFFP and PHONIX to simulate and compares the results and finds that both of them can well predict the airflow The paper also discusses several factors that affect stratification (entrance height, heat jet angle and direction of heat flow, etc.)
