现代隐喻研究认为,隐喻不仅是一种修辞手段,更是人们认知、思维、语言甚至行为的基础,是人们主要的、基本的生存方式。甚至有学者指出,隐喻的发展水平是决定学习者能否地道的使用外语的重要因素之一。基于此认识,笔者在研究中强调培养英语专业学生隐喻能力的重要性,提出隐喻能力的培养包括隐喻的识别、解释和运用,需要将这种能力培养渗透到专业课的教学中,将隐喻能力泛化。由于英美文学中蕴含大量的隐喻语言现象,笔者在介绍了隐喻理论的基础上,以实证为研究路径,结合英美文学作品中的隐喻现象为提高英语专业学生隐喻能力的教学模式进行了探讨。
According to modern metaphor research, metaphor is not only a rhetorical device, but also the basis of people’s cognition, thinking, language and even behavior. It is the main and basic way of life for people. Some scholars even pointed out that the level of development of metaphor is one of the important factors that determine whether learners can use foreign language authenticly. Based on this understanding, the author emphasizes the importance of cultivating English majors’ metaphorical ability in the study, and puts forward that the cultivation of metaphorical ability includes the identification, explanation and application of metaphor. This ability needs to be infiltrated into the teaching of specialized courses, The Due to a large number of metaphorical language phenomena in English and American literature, the author introduces the theory of metaphor and probes into the teaching mode of improving the metaphorical ability of English majors based on the empirical research approach and the metaphorical phenomena in English and American literary works.
