刘守华,湖北沔阳人,1935年8月出生。现任华中师大中文系教授、中国民间文学研究室主任、硕士研究生指导教师。他是中国民间文艺家协会理事、湖北省民间文艺家协会副主席、中国故事学会副主席、国际民间叙事研究会会员。为我国著名民间故事学家,他曾参与主持了全国机智人物故事学术讨论会、中国故事学会第二届学术讨论会和湖北省历届民间文学学术讨论会。由 Liu Shouhua, Hubei Xingyang, born in August 1935.
