随着地面防空设施的现代化和装备齐全的下视下射武器系统的截击机的出现,给航空空对地火力控制系统提出了更高的要求。为此,空对地作战飞机要想在未来的战争环境中出色地完成攻击任务,必须配备具有下述功能的现代化火控系统:(1)将飞机引导到给定的目标区;(2)给乘员显示导航攻击所需要的全部信息;(3)探测并精确跟踪、识别和瞄准目标;(4)可以多种攻击方式、发射并控制各种武器对付多种目标。 采用七十年代出现的新瞄准原理和大量性能完善的先进设备组成的各种具有不同特色的现代机载空对地火控系统,都能不同程度地完成上述任务。其中用惯性导航系统和平视显示器武器瞄准计算机系统相结合构成的惯性导航/平显攻击系统是现有最完善
