李政道,华裔美籍科学家,1975年诺贝尔物理学奖获得者,多年来关心祖国建设,为促进发展祖国的科技教育事业做出了重要贡献。1974年5月30日,他从北京饭店客房应召来到中南海,为毛泽东解答并演示了物理学上相对静止的对称概念。一生研究社会变革和进化的毛泽东,对在自然科学上占据重要位置的对称问题感到疑惑不解。不过,真正让毛泽东感兴趣的是人类社会不断进化的“动力学”和无处不有的唯物辩证法。因此,他们的话题也就很自然地由自然界转到了人类社会。
Li Zhengdao, a Chinese-American scientist, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1975, has taken great care of the development of the motherland for many years and made important contributions to promoting the development of science and technology in the motherland.
