提出“自然为人立法,人为自然护法”命题,是为伦理学重新寻求真实的自然基础。要对伦理学的这一自然基础予以求证,须先从伦理学的研究对象入手:伦理学研究的基本对象“生命-人”何以存在和怎样存在才最好,由此,伦理本身是生态的。伦理学生态性,既指其存在的整体性,又指其存在敞开的生成化,因为,无论是生命还是人,都是未完成、待完成并以其自身之力而不断追求完成的存在体;并且,命和人的这一生存努力方向的敞开,不仅要遵循自然之理,更要遵循血缘法则。从狭义的人本角度看,伦理即是人类遵循自然之理和血缘法则把自然(充满物理本性)的人打造成文明(有节制和德性)的人的那样一种开放性生成的努力方式。
