梁国城的大型舞剧创作,在不同时期的不同作品中先后呈现出“风情”弥漫中的“故事”讲述;敏感于典型动态的捕捉与提炼;精致、流畅的舞段结构设计;极具人性冲突和戏剧性的舞剧;追求多空间、跳跃性舞剧结构;在功夫之外下功夫,在金庸的追随中挑战金庸;在“也无风雨也无晴”中看“潇洒”;讴歌“面对众生的独立风骨”等特质。梁国城的舞剧创作观念丰富了当代中国舞剧的创作,是当代中国舞剧史的重要组成部分。
