Imaging technology plays a very important role in the diagnosis of oral diseases, in the development of treatment plans, and in the monitoring of disease progression and prognosis. The traditional two-dimensional X-ray imaging technique has some limitations. Combined with the complicated structure of the oral and maxillofacial tissues, it causes the defects such as overlapping images, low resolution and large radiation, making it difficult to accurately diagnose oral diseases.
