通过对凉水林场红皮云杉(Picea koraiensis)天然林和人工林树干解析研究表明:个体的生长变异与成幼龄生长变异的相关程度,均随年龄的增大而增大。其中天然林生长变异和成、幼龄相关系数的增长率在50a时最高,以后随年龄增大而减少,50a后趋于稳定,据此,以50a为该地红皮云杉天然林早期选择最佳年龄。并可用50a生的树高对100a生的材积进行早期预测,V_(100)=1.0591+0.0029h_(50)(F=11.20~*,γ=0.78~*),树高为主导因子。对于30a生人工林,18a生为早期选择的最佳年龄。并可用18a时高、径生长量对30a时材积进行早期预测:V_(30)=-0.033+0.0197h_(18)(F=7.66~*,r=0.701~*)v_(30)=-0.0091+0.0019d_(18)~2(F=25.930~(**),r=0.872~(**)),其中胸径为主导因子。
