Fephen/Y was prepared by impregnation method, flexible ligand method and zeolite synthesis method respectively, and characterized by XRD, ICP, FT IR, UV Vis, TG DTA and various catalytic reactions, including the decomposition of H 2O 2 and the oxidation of cyclohexane and styrene. It was shown that different methods make the location of Fephen complex in zeolite Y and the interaction between host and guest different, resulting in the catalytic behavior different. For the sample prepared by impregnation method, Fephen adsorbs on the external surface, but for those made by flexible ligand and zeolite synthesis method, Fephen is encapsulated in the supercages of zeolite Y.
