中甜1号是由中国科学院华南植物园与东莞市农业种子研究所合作育成。是以超甜玉米自交系SY203为母本,自交系SW18为父本组配而成的单交种。通过品种比较试验、全省区域试验和生产示范试验,结果表明:中甜1号比目前广东省生产上的主栽品种穗甜1号平均增产8%以上,具有抗大小斑病、青枯病和纹枯病,蚜虫和玉米螟危害轻,抗倒伏以及适应性强等特点。该杂交种植株健壮,生长势强,叶色浓绿,子粒黄白相间,后期保甜度好,可溶性糖含量达18%以上,且果皮较薄,适口性好,品质较优。
Sweet 1 is a collaboration between South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dongguan Institute of Agricultural Seeds. Is a super cross sweet corn inbred line SY203 as the female parent, inbred line SW18 paired with a single cross-species.
