Objective: To investigate the changes and significance of interleukin-2 (IL-2), interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in patients with bladder cancer. Methods: Sixty-six patients with bladder cancer who were treated in our hospital from February 2015 to December 2016 were enrolled in this study. For the bladder cancer group, 65 patients with cystitis glandularis were enrolled in this study Cystitis group, another choose the same period in our hospital for physical examination of 65 patients recorded as a control group, compared the level of IL-2, IFN-γ and TNF-α levels in patients with different types and clinical stage of bladder cancer The levels of IL-2, IFN-γ and TNF-α were analyzed. The correlation between IL-2, IFN-γ and TNF-α levels and their pathological types and clinical stage were analyzed. Results: The levels of IL-2 and IFN-γ in bladder cancer group were significantly lower than those in cystitis group and control group. The levels of TNF-α in bladder cancer group were significantly higher than those in cystitis group and control group (all P <0.05 ). There was no significant difference in the levels of IL-2, IFN-γ and TNF-α among different types of bladder cancer patients (all P> 0.05). The levels of IL-2 and IFN-γ in T2 ~ T4 bladder cancer patients were significantly lower than those in Tis ~ T1 patients, and the levels of TNF-α in T2 ~ T4 bladder cancer patients were significantly higher than those in Tis ~ T1 patients (all P <0.05). According to Spearman’s correlation analysis, there was a negative correlation between IL-2 and IFN-γ in bladder cancer patients and clinical stage (P <0.05), and TNF-α was positively correlated with clinical stage (P <0.05) 2, IFN-γ and TNF-α levels and pathological types had no significant correlation (P> 0.05). Conclusion: The expression of IL-2 and IFN-γ in bladder cancer patients decreased significantly, while the expression of TNF-α increased significantly. The above three indexes of patients were related to their clinical stages, but not to the pathological types.
