京剧《恶虎村》是一个久有争议的剧目,最近在“流派展览演出”中演出。为了贯彻“双百”方针,上海戏剧家协会和《上海戏剧》编辑部组织了座谈,参加座谈会的同志,本着“百家争鸣”精神各抒已见,充分展开了讨论。我们认为对有争议的传统剧目,采取这样边演、边认、边改的办法,通过舞台实践由广大群众来检验,是一个可取的办法,特别是一些形将湮没的剧目,时不我待,不能等待长期争议不决。关于《恶虎村》的意见,除本刊第三期发表了黄裳、龚义江二位同志的文章,以及《文汇报》七月廿六日发表了罗竹风同志的文章外,这里再将座谈会中部份同志的意见以笔谈的方式发表,以供大家研究参考。
