潜力巨大,增长迅速中国经济步入稳步发展阶段,国内社会商品零售市场维持持续高速发展,消费品市场销售逐年增长。2003年我国社会消费品零售总额同比增长9.2%,而商业对国民经济的贡献约为6.71%,该数据远低于发达国家的水平,可见中国的流通业具有巨大的发展潜力。普华永道的调查报告也表明中国已经成为亚洲零售消费业最具增长潜力的国家。家庭收入的逐年增长和富裕消费者的涌现将使中国零售业在未来几年内保持8~9%左右的增长率。根据麦肯锡的预计,中国2010年零售市场现代业态(大卖场、超市、折扣店、百贷商店、便利店和专卖店)规模将达到3.7万亿元人民币。
Huge Potential and Rapid Growth China’s economy has entered a steady development stage. The retail market for social goods in China maintains a sustained and rapid growth, and the sales in the consumer goods market have been increasing year by year. In 2003, the total retail sales of consumer goods in China increased by 9.2% over the same period of last year, while the contribution of commerce to the national economy was about 6.71%. This figure is much lower than that of developed countries. Therefore, the circulation industry in China has tremendous potential for development. PricewaterhouseCoopers’ survey also shows that China has become the country with the most growth potential in retail consumer spending in Asia. The year-by-year growth of household incomes and the emergence of affluent consumers will keep China’s retail industry at a growth rate of about 8-9% in the coming years. According to McKinsey’s forecast, the scale of China’s retail market in 2010 (supermarkets, supermarkets, discount stores, hundred stores, convenience stores and specialty stores) will reach 3.7 trillion yuan.
