博物馆作为公共文化机构,承担着社会教育、收集保藏文物、展示以及科学研究功能,其存在的价值就在于有效地使收藏品及其科研成果为社会公众服务。在网络时代背景下博物馆所扮演的角色正在经历着深刻的变革,博物馆管理怎样借助互联网,实现与互联网内外资源融合,变被动参与为积极互动,以突破时间与空间的束缚,进而扩大其社会影响力,实现公共服务的职能。这是当前博物馆工作者予以思考和探索的问题。
